SoapSell Marketplace is new and exciting marketplace website for handmade
soaps and bath/beauty products from shops around the US. (with plans to go global in early 2017) Shop owners in the SoapSell Marketplace never pay a fee to post their products for sale. The only cost to shop owners is when they get a sale, at which time SoapSell collects a 7% or lower fee. Shop owners fee can be lowered a few different ways. Right now shop owners who open their shop, and have at least one product for sale by the end of January will pay only a 3% commission for 90 days. Soon there will be monthly featured shops, for both the shop who did the best the previous month, as well as the shop that didn't do the best.
Payments for SoapSell Marketplace are processed through PayPal Adaptive Payments. When a customer makes a purchase from your shop customers are directed to a secure PayPal payment screen where 710, LLC (SoapSell Marketplace) processes the payment through our PayPal Adaptive Payments API. This (in one fell swoop) pulls SoapSell's commissions out (not including taxes of shipping cost) then instantly sends you your payment for the sold products. You do not have to wait for your money, when you make a sale, you get paid.
The handmade soap market has been growing by 15% - 20% year by year over the last 3 years. Other handmade marketplaces are flooded with hundreds of thousands of shops, with many being there for multiple years and are now dominating categories of the site. SoapSell Marketplace is new, it's refreshing. SoapSell is made by soap makers for soap makers, so we understand your needs and wants a bit better. We're also small, so change for us is a bit easier. A month ago we heard from users they didn't like the layout and it wasn't user friendly. We've now done some serious changes, and have heard some great responses.
